How long do I need to let the unit sit before starting it?

Please let the machine stand in an upright position for at least 24 hours to allow the refrigerant and oil inside to settle well before plugging it in.

What kind of water shoud I use?

We suggest you use filtered water. Please do not use milk, beverage or alcohol.

How do I clean the machine? How often shoud I clean it?

We suggest using an ice maker cleaner, vinegar, or lemon water. First, unplug the machine and then rinse all detachable parts with warm, soapy water. Wipe all internal parts with a soft cloth, add fresh water to the reservoir, and run a few cleaning cycles. It's better to clean it once a week.

Can the ice basket and drain plug be replaced?

Yes, they can be replced. Please contact customer support team (support@euhomy.eu) for further help.

Do these ice makers have a heat preservation function?

No. So we suggest you remove ice cubes from the ice basket and store them in the refrigerator if you don’t use these ice cubes for a long time.

How can I know the model number of the ice maker I purchased?

You can find the model number of the ice machine on the nameplate located at the back of the machine.

Can I keep it on 24 hours? Or should I turn it on and off?

You can keep it on 24/7 if you’d like however keep in mind the machine does not keep ice cold meaning it will constantly melt and re-freeze. We recommend you to turn off the ice maker and unplug it when you are not using it. This prolongs the life of the ice maker.

Do I need Empty the water out after each use, if you didn’t let it run until empty?

We recommend that you pour out the water in time when it is not used for a long time to keep the inside dry. Just to keep the chance of mold and mineral deposits from happening.
